Broke twice in the same place

I loved the style and fit of these glasses. I have a medium size face and find most Smith glasses fit me very well.After a month of light use, I took the glasses out of my backpack and found that the hinge was broken. I contacted Smith, sent in my broken pair, and promptly received a new pair. Great customer service.After a week of carrying the new glasses in my backpack, I found that they'd broken in the exact same place.I have about 10 different pairs of glasses (Rx and non) and carry them all in this same way. I've never had any issue with other glasses.I contacted Smith and exchanged these for a pair of Serpicos. Once again, great customer service.If you baby your sunglasses, these will work for you. If you don't, they will break at the hinge.

Tried these on at a surf shop and they looked really good on me. They were a little expensive so I did not buy. Searched Amazon and they were a lot cheaper sooo I bought them. Very light and seem fragile. I baby my sunglasses so I shouldnt have a problem with that.

Great glasses!

I owned a pair of the Gibsons in black. I liked the fit because they were light and comfortably snug for my face. When I thought I lost them, I went out tried several comparable brands (Oakley, Ray Ban, Maui Jim's and others) and even some other Smith glasses. I didn't fall in love with anything so I didn't buy. I then looked on Amazon and found the Gibsons! I saw they came in blue and on a wild hair I went for it and ordered them.. They are perfect for me. It took a day to get used to the light color in the periphery of my vision, but once I did I found it more enjoyable the than a black frame because while my eyes are shaded, there is still a sense of lightness.Thank you Smith and thank you Amazon!
