These Cocoon sunglasses are great. They are neither too dark or the view too contrasty. Yes, you can wear the corrective glasses underneath or as well. The polarization is very important for driving as well as the eye protection. They are comfortable and adjustable. These are the darkest glasses I could easily find with only 13% transmission and the colors look close to normal [visual system accommodates] ; but because my eyes are very sensitive to light I would wear a second pair of tight wraparound polarizing sunglasses underneath when on a bright snow field or on a beach.
