By John S. Dean
These are by far the best sunglasses I've ever had. Of course, previously I don't think I ever spent more than $80 - 90 for any.I had a few other pairs that I just never wore because of the frames. I have a big head, and I got tired of the stripes down the sides of my face from the frames where they pressed against me. These are arced nicely, and don't touch my head at all except the bridge of the nose and where they rest above the ear. VERY comfortable, hardly noticeable at all.Today was a great day to test them, as there's very bright sunshine with some clouds moving through and very high winds, so I was able to judge the effectiveness in bright sun, muted sun with cloud cover, as well as how well they hold on with the wind whipping insanely around me.And in every respect, they were outstanding. I've had other glasses that seemed to snap things into a little better focus / contrast than these do, but not by that much. Things do look clear and crisp. The big thing I noticed was the super bright things were just light colored now, no longer really a problem. I have some silver trim in my car - NOT silver or chromed, just a silver colored paint. But that alone was enough to be a real pain when the sun was at the right (or wrong) angle, making it difficult to see the road from this spear of brightness reflecting off of it. With these glasses, I just see lighter colored silver paint, no longer any reflections. Take the glasses off, and there's the blinding reflection again, put them back on, and it's just a light spot on the paint.Same with reflections of things on the inside of my front windshield. Without the glasses I could see white reflections from things on the dash quite clearly. With the glasses on, there were no reflections visible. And they didn't budge in the wind, whether it was in front of me, on my side, or behind. I could barely keep my open windbreaker from snapping me in the face and from getting whipped around, but the sunglasses worked fine.Only thing I saw a downside with was when I opened the rear door to get my laptop bag out of the car. Black leather interior, and with the bright world outside of a noon day sun, I couldn't see hardly anything inside the car with these on, I couldn't differentiate between the seat and the black laptop bag.But other than that, these have been outstanding. It'll be nice again to be able to wear sunglasses, especially with winter coming. Sun glare off of the snow is a big issue in Wisconsin sometimes.Pricey, very much so, but this really is an example of getting what you pay for. There may have been glasses for $100 that I would've liked, but I hadn't come across any others that looked as nice as these did and had such consistently high reviews as the Revo lines do. I'm very pleased with the money I spent. The reason I took a star off was the case. For this high price for essentially plastic sunglasses (albeit excellent ones), the case was disappointing. It's overlarge for the glasses, has no shape inside to "hold" them. So they rattle around alot, and the case is kind of a pain if you want to keep it in the car because it's so awkwardly large. They did send the soft pouch for them, but this doesn't prevent my 9 year old from possibly sitting on them or putting something on top of them that could break them. I would've thought for the price that a smaller shaped case designed to hold and protect them would be better than this large box.

I own at least 10 pairs of sun glasses (not cheap ones either) and these by far are the best, plus they look great

The lenses are very nice and the fit is good. However the bridge that holds the lenses together uses a large nut/bolt system to hold the lenses and it is within the field of vision so that the eyes are aware of it and it appears as a dark spot(s) when wearing the glasses. This is very annoying and I have never encountered such a problem with any previous pair of glasses that I have owned. It may also be damaging to ones eyesight as the eyes are always trying to focus on a dark area at the bridge of the nose. I would not purchase these glasses again were I aware of this issue, and I will probably have to buy another pair to replace these.
