Product Description
While the Oakley Flak Jacket might resemble the popular Half Jacket designs, there's more to the innovations than a redesigned frame. The Flak Jacket represents a new generation of Oakley sport eyewear performance. The interchangeable lenses have a permanent hydrophobic lens that repels skin oil, rain and sweat to optimize optical performance. The lenses also resist smudges and clean easier than previous eyewear, making the design better suited to endurance sports and extended climbing and backpacking. While some people found the Flak Jacket lenses easier to change than the Half Jackets, it's all really a matter of getting used to changing lenses. Like learning anything new, changing the lenses the first time around takes an extra moment or two. After that you can swap out lenses in a few moments and quickly adapt to new light conditions. Like the Oakley Half Jackets, the Flak Jacket has a featherweight O Matter frame with Unobtainium earsocks, and the proven three-point fit. Unobtainium tends to grip more when wet, so you don't have to worry about your Flak Jackets giving you the slip before you reach the finish line....

I echo what other reviews state regarding the lightweight frame and awesome styling. However, these are not polarized. You have to purchase interchangeable extra lenses for around $95 if you want them polarized. The iridium coating on the initiial lenses is nice, but for someone who needs polarized lenses to stop glare, the iridium lenses may not be a suitable substitute.With this said, I don't see any lens distortion in the iridium lenses like with other sport glasses. The lenses are clear and peripheral coverage against light getting into the eye is just awesome. I happen to need polarized lenses for glare so am not thrilled with paying the extra cash, but did anyway because these are fantastic frames and I feel good about the $20 donation for a good cause. The frame temples do not pinch over the ears which is a major plus! The bridge is wide enough to fit any nose.**** Update: After wearing a month these never slip off my face even with heavy activity outdoors. No scratches, either. Amazing! I purchased the black iridium polarized lenses and they make a significant difference in cutting glare, but don't have the "Livestrong" etching as the regular iridium left lens which would have been a "nice to have." I strongly recommend purchase, however.If you want a cheaper alternative in a polarized lens and don't want to pony-up the extra $95, you may want to look at Smith Sport Parallel D Max Sunglasses for around $120 at the time of this posting.

I just bought these sun glasses but they are so amazing I had to post a review on them. They are non slide no matter what, strong, endorsed by US military, CLEAR, and SEXY!!!! I hear people saying you forget they are on and a couple of minutes went by and I forgot I was wearing them?! HAHA! These are my first pair of Oak's and I will definitely be a life long customer! Get them!
