Be like Dirty Harry!

These are the glasses Clint Eastwood is wearing in the iconic "Dirty Harry" series. They're great sunglasses, slightly curved so there's no light spillage coming in from the side. Why pay over $100 for a pair of sunglasses if you can buy a decent pair for $20 at the local pharmacy store? That's why I often asked myself. Until I wore a pair. The difference in quality is impressive - at least with the "plastic" Ray-Ban glasses. The glasses are a bit heavier and a lot more sturdier. The temples don't wobble, the hinges are firm and have enough resistance to stay open when you put on your glasses with one hand (say, when driving).Is the difference worth $80? That's hard to express. I don't feel they're "five times" better than $20 but on the other hand price usually goes up disproportionally with quality. Obviously I'm willing to pay for the difference in price--and quality, so my answer would be "yes", but it depends a bit on how you treat your glasses. When handled with care (and paying attention to where you put them so you don't lose them) I'd say it's worth the money. If you're the type who buys five pairs a year to replace lost/stolen/destroyed ones, then the answer is no. As far as I'm concerned, recommended. And since this is the model Dirty Harry wears, *HIGHLY* recommended.

I am very happy with these shades, they are just like a pair I owned many years ago. So if you are as old as me and remember seeing or owning these then , buy a pair now.

I wanted polarized sunglasses similar to what I had before. The glasses are ok but the fit is not so good. Unlike my previous pair of sunglasses by RayBan, they keep creeping forward and they never feel like they are in the right spot when being worn. I guess its the angle of the sidepieces. I am always pushing them back to my face.
