Great Pair of Sunglasses

Will try to keep this short. Style is modern, but without being too trendy. Lens quality is superb, and the frames are light and durable. Very comfortable on the face. These are my third pair of Smith sunglasses, and they are probably my favorite. I might buy a second pair for backup, in all honesty. Worth every penny.

phenomenal

I've owned these for a year now with zero wear/tear issues. They are my first pair of polarized sunglasses, and I am still stunned every time I don them. I have the polarized gray lenses, and they render the world in astounding vividness, I never realized that sunglasses didn't have to drain the color out of the world. Just last weekend I sat at the shore of a pond for 10 minutes, trading these back and forth with a girl, admiring how we could watch the bluegill swimming around in the shallows and the vegetation on the pond floor extending out into the distance.These actually make my vision sharper. I'm on the borderline where I'm not *quite* required to wear Rx lenses when I drive. I still prefer to wear my Rx glasses when I drive at night, but during the day I get enough acuity boost from these polarized lenses that I'm very comfortable driving with just the sunglasses.

Good Quality

These are nice glasses. They're well made and have a nice, dark polarized lens (I got black with the "gray green lens").I would say they're excellent driving glasses, but maybe not excellent for outdoor sports like hiking or biking. They sit really low on my face, which is a current style and I like it. However, they let a LOT of light in through the top and not only that, but the inside of the lens gets a reflection from my face, causing a lot of glare. Also, if I push them all the way against my face, they're kind of flat (not face-curved), so my eyelashes brush against the lens, which is annoying... and they get fogged up when I'm hiking. I didn't buy them for this purpose, but just something to note...So, if you're in a car, you wouldn't have this issue, but outside, they're not so great for blocking the sun.
