Costa Del Mar Man-O'-War MW10 580 Tortoise Green Lense

This review is for the Costa Del Mar Man-O'-War Tortoise Green Mirror sun glasses. I've had these for about a year and a half. I purchased these as a replacement for Maui Jim Rose Makaha shades. These Costa's are made for larger faces, but don't look huge on me. The 580 Glass lense is excellent, I've kept mine safe so far and no scratches, they stay in the car most of the time. Excellent for driving, cycling, and I also use them for sand volleyball, they do a great job of keeping the sand out of my eyes since they have the side shields. You can remove the side shields, but I haven't, there is no need to since it doesn't make the glasses look bad.The green mirror looks really nice, these are some of the few lenses that I found that give you the green mirror look outside, but when you're wearing them, they have a rose tint like the Maui Jim's. These glasses are recommended for water use, mostly fishing, but they have worked great for what I wanted.I would strongly recommend using a fine microfiber lense cleaning cloth on these. All in all, these are the best glasses I've had so far, I used ReVo for a while but prefer these glasses, they are lighter than the revos and better quality thn the Maui. The 580 Glass lenses are very clear, I compared to the Maui and I can definatly tell the difference, when you look through the Maui Plastic lenses, it looks like you're looking through a plastic bottle, with the Costa 580 lenses, everything is crystal clear and sharp, colors look better too.I would recommend these glasses, if you are considering them over others, these are worth the price. I have had no warranty issues so can't tell you if Costa is good/bad at responding.

I really like these sunglasses and have had quite a few pair in my time. These fit really well and do a good job of keeping the wind out of my eyes as I wear them under a helmet most of the time.One caveat though is that removing the wingtips from the glasses is a tricky thing. They break really easy and are about $12 a pair to replace. So be careful.

COSTA Warranty is a JOKE!! They definitely do everything possible to get out of fixing your glasses

COSTA is a JOKE to say the least!!! They definitely do not stand behind there warranty. My Frigate 580 frames had a quality defect as well as the leases had bubble like obstructions in the lenses. Costa proceeded to tell me that they were not covered under warranty and Peter White lead warranty repair at Costa told me that the pit marks are from being dropped or from sand hitting them! LOL!!! Imagine that glasses that are designed to be around salt water, beaches etc..and sand causes pits in the lense. I guess that's the kind of quality you get from Costa when you spend $300 on glasses..It will definitely be my last pair!! Buy Native or Riley-x...CEO/President- Doesn't seem to care either..Can't return a customer e-mail.
